This is the original English Scale used by Chiappa and most modern organ builders in the UK for over 60 years. It is considered the standard-width music, typically found on smaller organs, especially in the “Fairground” style rather than the Dutch street organs. Measuring just 175mm wide, it offers an ideal scale for compact organs while providing excellent value. Its medium scale works efficiently and gives arrangers greater versatility, delivering nearly an extra octave compared to 30-note organs.
